Interception Efficiency

This tool will help determine the interception efficiency for irrigation.

Interception efficiencies are directly related to how efficiently you are irrigating. As your interception efficiency decreases more water is falling between your containers leading to wasted water, increased runoff, and increased sediment movement from higher volumes of water leaving your irrigation pads. It is recommended that interception efficiencies below 60% be changed through decreasing your spacing, moving to drip irrigation or consider spray stakes (for container sizes larger than 5 gallon).
